Deferred Entry

If you had to withdraw your 2017 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 entry through illness or injury we guaranteed you an entry for the 2018 event (unless you had already carried your ballot entry over from 2016), providing that you followed these simple instructions:

All riders who paid for their place via the ballot for the 2017 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 needed to complete the online withdrawal form. Please note that you must have paid for your 2017 place in order to withdraw and apply for a guaranteed entry in 2018.

Riders who completed the online withdrawal form (see eligibility and conditions) by 20:00 on Saturday 29 July 2017 were then sent an email confirming their application to withdraw and outlining the process required to apply for a guaranteed place in 2018.

Providing you adhered to the date above and paid the appropriate entry fee, you were accepted for the 2018 sportive unless you had already carried your entry over from the 2016 race or if the entry was received from a charity or sponsor. Please note that riders may only defer their place for one year.

In order to secure your guaranteed place in 2018, you must have met the deadlines outlined in the withdrawal process and paid the entry fee for the 2018 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100.

Please note that entry fees are not refundable under any circumstances (see terms and conditions). However, we do offer this option to apply for a guaranteed entry for the following year to everyone who got their place through the ballot and then has to withdraw. This means it is not necessary to go through the ballot process again. Please note that it is only possible to withdraw and apply for a guaranteed place once. If you take up a guaranteed place for 2018 and then withdraw again, you will not be eligible for a guaranteed place in 2019.
