Entries into the 2018 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 Peloton Relay are now closed.
Please note: Entries are confirmed only after payment has been made, and when all the riders have successfully completed their online entry form.
The Peloton Relay requires a team of four riders. Teams can be entered as all male, all female or mixed teams. Mixed teams can consist of two male and two female riders, three female and one male rider, or three male and one female rider.
The team works together to ride the 100 miles as follows:
- Rider 1 rides 100 miles
- Rider 2 rides 74 miles
- Rider 3 rides 52 miles
- Rider 4 rides 25 miles
How does it work?
Rider 1 starts at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park along with the estimated 25,000 other cyclists in the sportive and rides the full route. Rider 2 starts at Hampton Court Hub (at the 26 mile point) and rides with rider 1 to the finish. Rider 3 starts at the Newlands Corner Hub (about 47 miles) and joins rider 1 and 2 for the last 52 miles of the event. Rider 4 starts at Leatherhead Hub (about 75 miles) to complete the four-rider team and the entire team rides the last section of the route together to the finish on The Mall.
The time recorded for the team will be the time recorded by the last rider of the team to cross the Finish Line, so teamwork is of the essence.
Teams are reminded that this event is a timed challenge; it is not a race.
