Cancellation of 2020 Prudential RideLondon
It has been confirmed that the 2020 Prudential RideLondon festival of cycling is cancelled. This decision has been taken by London authorities after engagement with partners involved in the planning of the event.
The eighth edition of the world’s greatest festival of cycling was scheduled to take place on the weekend of 15 and 16 August.
Please note: due to the cancellation of the 2020 event, the below information is subject to change.
About the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 19
Starting at Sandown Park in Surrey, the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 19 takes in the final 19 miles of the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 route, going through south west London, and into the heart of the capital to the spectacular finish on The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.
Finishers will receive a special souvenir medal and free entry into the Festival Zone in Green Park.
Entry costs £29 for adults and is free for participants aged from 12-15.
Please note: participants aged from 12-15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is age 18 years or over. We recommend that any young riders new to cycling attend a cycling proficiency course such as Bikeability. Joining a British Cycling club can also be a great way of gaining additional confidence for riding in large groups and understanding how to effectively communicate on the bike.
There are a variety of activities at the Start Area – including a DJ truck to help you warm up for the ride, and a wide selection of food and drinks options so you can fuel up with friends and family ahead of the event.
For more information on the event, please visit our Rider Info page.
Entry for handcycle participants will open later in 2020. For further information on taking part with a handcycle, please contact email@example.com
Special community entries, priced at £10 per rider, are also available to selected community groups in the boroughs of London and Surrey.
Community groups can apply for discounted £10 places in the event, or find out more about applying for community entries, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
