Prudential RideLondon Grand Prix

Prudential RideLondon weekend kicked off on Friday 28 July with the Prudential RideLondon Grand Prix at the Lee Valley VeloPark in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The Prudential RideLondon Grand Prix featured:

  • Two handcycle races: the Prudential RideLondon Handcycle Grand Prix for injured veteran servicemen and women, and the Prudential RideLondon Elite Handcycle Grand Prix for top international handcyclists.
  • The Prudential RideLondon Youths Grand Prix: a programme of four races with a boys and girls race for the Youth B category (open to riders aged U14) and a boys and girls race for the Youth A category (open to riders aged U16)
  • The Prudential RideLondon BMX Grand Prix for boys and girls in five age categories (for riders aged under-8, 9-10 years, 11-12 years, 13-14 years and 15-16 years)

2017 Highlights

Rafal Wilk made it back-to-back wins in the Prudential RideLondon Elite Handcycle Grand Prix, as four riders from the London region claimed victories in the Prudential RideLondon Youths Grand Prix.

The Grand Prix Festival Zone was also packed with cycling-based entertainment, including:

  • Action Sports Tour BMX Stunt Show
  • Access Sport BMX and bike tryout area
  • Penny Farthings trial
  • Music from our resident DJ
  • Pedal-powered PA music
  • Pedal-powered juice maker
  • Rollapaluza static race bikes
  • Bikeworks all ability cycling
