Calling all youths! Your chance to race down The Mall!

Britain’s youth cyclists have a unique chance to race on a stunning route through the centre of the capital in the Prudential RideLondon Grand Prix on Saturday 3 August.

The programme of criterium races includes a Youths A/B race for U14s and U16s, which is open to entries from anywhere in the UK.

“This is the first youth’s criterium ever staged on The Mall,” said Prudential RideLondon Race Director Mick Bennett. “It’s an amazing opportunity for the next generation of Team GB  cyclists to race in the heart of London.”

The route for the series of three criterium races is a fast flat 1.3-mile loop around St James’s Park that starts and finishes on The Mall. The riders will race towards Buckingham Palace, through three tight turns onto Birdcage Walk and then take a 90-degree left hand turn into Horse Guards. The final left turn at the end of Horse Guards brings them back onto The Mall.

The Youths A/B race is now open for entries. To find out more, and to enter the race, visit the British Cycling website here.
